Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

BBELS teachers love to take students to Currumbin as the students get to meet all the great funny, furry and cuddly animals that live in Australia.

In the education session students get to pat a snake or lizard. Meet some Australian owls and learn about Australian wildlife, their habitat and what they eat.

Students can get amongst a mob (group) of kangaroos and feed them as well.

Another popular activity is the free flight bird show, watch out for the wedge-tailed eagle!

Probably the most popular activity is the koala photo, where students can cuddly a koala.
