More Jobs for Working Holiday Students

Congratulations to our 3 past students Kim Kyungin, Park Ganghee and Kim Ha Yeol for finding long term work via the BBELS Job Club!!

Austin, Nicky and Shaun (“Aussie names” ) – all from Korea – recently found placements in a local factory. After 3 months of work they will be able to apply for their second working holiday maker visa. This will allow them to stay in Australia for another year to work and study!

As well these BBELS students will be working with Australian people. Their upper intermediate English level was very important for their employer to grant them work. Pay rates in Australia for such jobs vary from $16 – 20 per hour.

Shaun adds: “Thank you to BBELS staff. They really found us this job. They helped us complete the application forms, arranged the interview and now we have a job that means i can stay another year in Australia! i am so happy!”

We will watch closely their progress and update our blog soon with more stories of their success!

Volunteers Meeting

On Tuesday 9th February at 3.15pm all students are invited to an information session for volunteer positions in some local community groups and festivals.

Volunteering is a great way to meet local people and have a rich life experience.

The meeting will be in U13. All welcome!
