Remember that now is the best time to see whales and their young (calf/ calves) They enjoy playing in the Bay before they head south to Antarctica. You can walk up to the lighthouse and have an ice cream at the top whilst watching the whales in the Bay or Tallows.
Going to the movies is a great way to help improve your listening skills and have fun. My pick for the Dendy cinema in Byron is Fame – a fantastic dance movie set in NYC. It is on daily 10:15 am, 12:30 pm, 2:40pm, 7:00 pm & 9:15pm. 
Saturday night go and support Max and his band at the Buddha Bar – this is a great place to meet locals and other travellers. The food is cheap and there is even a Brewery where you can try Byron Bay Premium Ale. 
Sunday is the famous Bangalow Markets – a great place to take photos, try the amazing food do a bit of shopping for original Byron Bay gifts and you might even see a few teachers and classmates. If you want a lift be at BBELS at 10am.

Tonight is the night to find your buddy get to know each other and have fun at the famous Friday night BBQ. The cafe is cooking Australian style BBQ and the best thing is that it is absolutely FREE! Music will be playing and if you feel in the mood get up and have a sing. The school has jumped in numbers and we want to welcome all the new students with a little get together.

Congratulations to Fernanda and Estela on getting some part -time work. Both of them worked for a wedding company in an exclusive French style chateau in the Byron hinterlands.
Fernanda was lucky enough to get two jobs in two weeks after handing out lots of resumes and doing the RSA course in Byron Bay. She now has a job in a restaurant in Byron Bay.

Makato, photographer extraordinaire, recorded a normal Friday for a BBELS student. It started with a conversation class at the famous Beach Hotel (Beachie or Toppie). Then graduation at school where students say goodbye to their classmates and teachers, followed by a BBQ upstairs on the balcony. With musical performances by Michael, Max, Olivia, Teresa, Christian and last but not least Julien.
